Janus Friis biography
Janus is a serial Internet entrepreneur and co-founder of Atomico as well as Skype, Joost and Kazaa.
Janus worked as Skype's Executive Vice President of Innovation until September 2007 and now divides his time between Joost and Atomico. He also sits on the board of several start-up companies.
Janus is a self-made man and holds no formal education. His career started in the Danish Internet Service Provider business where he acquired "shop floor" experience before discovering his entrepreneurial streak at Tele2. Janus and Niklas left Tele2 together in 1999 to become their own bosses.
Janus is a Danish citizen and lives in London with his girlfriend. Janus loves travelling, and tries hard to find the time for winter sea bathing, sky diving and backgammon, and just being around friends and family.
